Portfolio Manager
About the role:
As a Portfolio Manager you will be a key player in DBT’s growth team. In a collaborative, dynamic environment, you are responsible for taking end-to-end ownership of DBT’s existing performing customer portfolio, with a focus on both ongoing portfolio management and commercial development. The role combines relationship management with portfolio oversight, ensuring that DBT remains a relevant, long-term partner throughout the customer lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Owning and developing relationships with existing customers, including CEOs and CFOs
Ongoing portfolio follow up from both a commercial and risk perspective
Actively working with customer retention, ensuring long-term engagement, satisfaction, and continued relevance throughout the customer lifecycle
Identifying and driving upsell opportunities within the existing portfolio
Building and nurturing relationships within customers’ ecosystems to generate referrals
Contributing to the development of scalable structures, ways of working, and processes for managing existing customers at DBT
Handover of customers to the Credit team in the event of deteriorating performance or covenant compliance issues.
This role is central to strengthening DBT Capital’s long-term customer relationships and driving recurring and new business opportunities, while maintaining high quality and strong risk control.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
A bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Engineering
At least 4 years of experience from transaction advisory, management consulting, banking or a similar analytical role, combined with hands-on experience from a commercial role with clear KPI ownership
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to turn analysis into clear business recommendations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English
In addition, you bring the following skills:
Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to identify business opportunities, drive upsell and referrals, and translate customer insights into revenue-generating initiatives, both from a case by case and portfolio perspective
Financial Analysis: Solid capability to analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, with a commercial lens
Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks
Presentation and stakeholder management: Confident in presenting complex financial and commercial topics to prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders
